Violin
Regina Angelita Setiawan
Regina started learning the violin at the age of 8, under the Suzuki Music Association of Indonesia (SMAI). Ever since, she has performed and collaborated with various ensembles such as Camerata Indonesia, All Jakarta Honor Orchestra, NAFA Orchestra, RCM Philharmonic, Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra, Musicians’ Initiative, The Philharmonic Orchestra, and re: mix, among others.
In 2023, she graduated with a ‘Diploma in Music (with Distinction)’ from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, followed by a ‘Bachelor of Music (Hons)’ from the Royal College of Music, London and is pursuing graduate studies at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music .

Regina expresses deep appreciation for the guidance of her primary violin teachers: Foo Say Ming, Therese Wirakesuma, and Frida Effrien, whose profound influence continues to be a guiding force in her musical journey.

In addition to her performance pursuits, Regina actively continues to explore her pedagogical and academic interests, most recently the Suzuki Method violin teacher training by Dr. Lan Ku Chen, and her essay titled ‘South-American Influences in Milhaud’s Le Bœuf sur le toit and Saudades do Brasil’, through which she was awarded the NAFA Best History Essay Award.

Violin
Erica Lee
Erica Lee is a classical-trained violinist who has recently completed her Diploma in Music Performance at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (School of Music). She will be continuing with a Degree in Music Performance at the same institution with an expected graduation in 2028.

Erica regularly performs and freelances in the local music scene, playing for a multitude of events ranging from theatre productions to fundraising concerts among other events. She has also had the privilege of performing for renowned musicians from the Fidelio Trio and the Fulton Chamber Players.
​
Erica dedicates herself to the art of refining her ensembleship and musicianship. She has participated in events such as the Asia Music International Competition and the Singapore Raffles International Music Festival, and also performs in orchestra with groups like The Orchestra of the Music Makers (OMM) and The Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO).

Viola
Leon Lai
Leon Lai is a Hong Kong born Violist who obtained his Master of Performance in the Royal College of Music-Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts programme in 2025 under Dr. Tan Wee Hsin. He has also previously studied under Bryony Gibson Cornish, Eivind Ringstad, Rebecca Chambers, Simon Rowland-Jones and Sergey Fatkulin. He has been actively freelancing in various ensembles in Singapore and overseas, including The Philharmonic Orchestra, Musician’s initiative, The Purple Symphony and The Sun Symphony.
As Music Director of the Alouette Ensemble, he emphasizes collaboration with clear communication with his fellow colleagues to not only make music with conviction, but to also create the possibility for mutual understanding and ultimately cooperation to solve problems.
His interest of music led him to begin studying composition under Dr. Goh Toh Chai since 2019, in order to expand and refine his own musical expressions to reach new limits and challenge currently held ones too. His tendency to challenge works from other instruments and even premiering works from living composers allows him to work with music with different national roots, resulting in a wider arsenal of expression

Viola
Teh Chia Hui
Teh Chia Hui is a distinguished graduate of the Diploma in Viola Performance program at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), where she completed her studies with distinction, and will be furthering her graduate studies at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
She has performed with esteemed ensembles including the NAFA Orchestra and The Philharmonic Orchestra, Singapore, Penang Philharmonic Orchestra, Emmanuel Symphony Orchestra, Re:Mix, The Philharmonic Orchestra, and the RondoFest Festival Orchestra. These engagements have enabled her to collaborate with exceptional musicians and conductors including Foo Say Ming, George Harliono, and Dr. Lien Boon Hua.
Her participation in major music festivals such as RondoFest and the Singapore Chamber Music Festival, provided with valuable coaching from chamber music artists like Edward Tan and Jonathan Ong. She has also benefited from masterclasses with internationally acclaimed musicians including Bas Treub, Sara Maria Gonzales, Anastasia Feruleva, and Timur Yakubov.

Cello
Elton Teo Kai Jie
Elton Teo Kai Jie is a dedicated and experienced music educator and cellist, with a strong background in both Western and Chinese orchestral traditions. He holds a Diploma in Music from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), and completed his Bachelor of Music degree (Cello Performance) at NAFA in collaboration with the Royal College of Music.
With over 8 years of teaching experience, Elton is a qualified MOE and AMIS instructor. He has taught in various primary and secondary schools across Singapore, serving as a cello instructor and ensemble coach for both string and Chinese orchestras. His current teaching appointments include Xishan Primary School, Mayflower Primary School, Frontier Primary School, and more. He has led student groups in multiple Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) presentations, with recent accolades including Distinction and Accomplishment awards in 2024.
Elton is passionate about making music education accessible and engaging. He conducts enrichment programmes covering instruments such as the violin, cello, and ukulele, tailoring lessons to inspire and develop young musicians, nurturing their love for music while blending technical skills along the way.
Beyond the classroom, Elton is an active freelance performer. He has performed with a variety of ensembles, including The Philharmonic Orchestra, Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra, Musicians’ Initiative, and New Opera Singapore. His broad orchestral experience spans Western classical, Chinese traditional, and contemporary works.

Double Bass
Claire Lim
Singaporean bassist Claire Lim is a versatile freelancer and passionate teacher. She is currently studying at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, where she has been mentored by Wang Xu since 2023, and participates actively in offered orchestras and ensembles. She will graduate in 2027.
Claire’s main musical involvement is in the Chinese Orchestra scene, where she has held the position of section principal for the Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra since 2023, and also regularly contributes to various community and school orchestras. She regularly freelances with groups such as the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, The Philharmonic Orchestra, Ding Yi Music Company, and the Philharmonic Wind Orchestra. She continues to be inspired by the inherent power of the performer to share music and story with the listener, and looks forward to inspiring both audiences and students alike.
